Today, Nikki went for look that I'd definitely wear (not to say I wouldn't wear any other outfit of hers!!!) Love it! She's wearing Forever 21 velvet leggings and neon yellow tank under a sheerish black shirt dress from H&M. She completed this cute look with her new Steve Madden peep toe booty/wedges!!! So cuuuute and comfy!
I just picked up this Zac Posen for Target top the other day and I love the funky-freshness of it! I paired this multicolored tiger print with some crop slacks and Steve Madden sling back pumps! I kept it accessory free because the shirt itself was so loud & didn't need anything else with it!

TGIF Looks
I'm loving Sarah's fun pose in her new sherbet colored Nike kicks.
Back in December, she did a post about a look she was feeling from some of her fave celebs. Since LA's recent weather has been a little chilly/winteresque this week, she decided to don this look for herself. I think she did such a cute job! She kept the fit simple, sticking to her normal style and balancing the whole look out with such colorful sneakers.
Check out the previous post, here.
Her shiny leggings are from American Apparel and White Jacket is a "Members Only" Jacket.

My latest purchase has become my newest favorite item--the field jacket. I recently got it at H&M ($34.95) and love its military, circa the 60's/70's, look. The olive green is such a neutral color and really goes with so many different outfits.
In the beginning of April, whowhatwear, posted a trend report about the field jacket.

Nails Did -- Black & White Part II
Hellllo again.. Black and White are the colors Im feeling right now! :D
Kinda simple but kinda not!
I was asked by a random guy if i knew someone in the Navy because of the two black pointed stripes on top of white.. At first I was confused... but it was literally a coincidence!

Vegas Outfits Galore
Hey ladies...
looks like we've been uber busy and straight tired from our Vegas trip this past weekend!
But I did want to share our going-out/night time outfits!
Nikki looks oh so adorable in a black and white striped freak-em dress with a touch of gold, she got at a small Manhattan Beach boutique with her new and FABBBB Steve Madden cut-out booty wedges! haha (this picture was taken at the Wynn on the way to Tryst)
My girl Rachel is wearing a turquoise tunic with embellishment on the shoulders from Bebe paired with Michael Kors patent black heels. I kept it with the blue theme with a simple (dare I say sophisticated?!?! lol) dress from Forever 21 and Coach patent nude wristlet. I am also wearing Michael Kors pumps! (this picture was taken at Tao in the Venetian)
This picture was taken at our lovely hotel room in Palms Place. We loved our balcony!!!! :D
Nikki is rocking her poppin' royal blue pumps from GoJane and a sexy little number also from a Manhattan Beach boutique.. (and yes, Nikki's hair is always... and i mean ALWAYS on point!! Get'em girrrrrl! haha).
I am wearing a cream and black dress from ASOS paired with my Nine West nude pumps! then Rachel is rocking her eye-catching Cynthia Vincent romper complimented with her sky-high Fendi strappy heel!
** love the diversity of hair colors in this picture!! Blonde, brown and black! haaaay ;)

Face Slimming Hairstyles
Today's beauty tidbit, brought to you by Rachel Hayes at dailymakeover.com, focuses on face slimming hairstyles.
Rachel mentions three things to keep in mind when styling your hair to avoid a round face:
1. Try a side part.
2. Your hair length should at least skim the shoulders.
3. Play with layers.
For more information on these looks, check out the site featured above.
Floral Print Pants
April Showers Bring May Flower... Pants?
The two floral printed trousers shown above, were featured on the Spring 2010 Runway for DKNY.
Personally, I find myself attracted to these pants and wouldn't mind wearing them with a plain T or Tank and some great wedges or sandals. They're a great way to Spring into the season, obvi! If you're more daring, try the DKNY approach and throw on a graphic T or Sweater with these pants; but, best to keep your shoes in a neutral shade so as to not get too busy with your look.
The pants featured below, by ASOS, are matched with a plain black T and black sandals. This look proves to be more conservative and street worthy as opposed to the many outrageously daring looks we see on the Runway. When hesitant, always go with the more conservative look when mixing prints and colors!
The DKNY pants sell for $195 and the ASOS, below, sell for $50.73! For more info on the ASOS pants, -click here-
So, what do you think, yay or nay for you?

Wednesday Outfits
White with Color, Black with Color
Sarah took her separately bought white shorts from Express, and white linen blazer, from Urban Outfitters, and paired them together to make an uber cute Spring Shorts Suit. Her purple floral tank, from Forever21, is the perfect complement for this Spring Suit. She ties the outfit together with classic nude pumps, by Nine West, to add a soft balance to the outfit. Lastly, her silver accessories, also from Forever21, are perfect when wearing white. With the help of the light, the silver pieces pick up the white tint so nicely!
With color being the main focus of Nikki's outfit, she chose black accessories to keep things balanced and toned down. Her patterned/watercolor dress, by Collective Clothing, was purchased at a boutique in Venice, LA. And yes, it was purchased for $10, from the original price of $110! I saw it and had to have it. Summer was transitioning into Fall and they were having a fantastic sale. I thought, hey, get this now and wear it next Spring!
Her roommate's black chunky cut-out booties were purchased at Baker's shoes. Black bangles and black necklace are all from Forever21.

Joe's Jean -- THE Shoe
My favorite jean brand, Joe's Jeans has debut a shoe line called "THE Shoe." This line consists of cuuuuuuuute flats and a couple wedges (that are coming soon).
I'm dying over the edgy-ness but not too over the top-ness of the collection. hahah
i love the THE Sienna in white!!!!! Going for only $140! someone please hook a girl up with a pair of those bad boys... and
while your at it.. throw in a pair of these wedges called THE Lou ($195)!
I think Joe's Jeans has made a good move by selling shoes. Keeping the designs simple with a touch of edge. I'm loving every piece of it, I'm not gonna lie!
What do you think? Would you cop anything? Check out more deets on THE Shoe here!

Safari/Shirt Dress Trend
On the latest Zoe Report, Rachel Zoe wrote about the trendy Safari Style/Cargo Shirt Dress. The dress featured above, by designer Chris Benz, walked this Spring's 2010 Runway. Chris Benz's Cargo Dress sells for $1,495. Since Chris Benz's dress runs a little steep for our wallets, we decided to find this similar look for less. Below are examples of the various Safari Style looks. Either wear them as shown, or throw on more accessories to make them your own stylish look.

Tuesday Looks
Nikki is looking a little Nicole Richie-esque with her fab brown patterned dress from Macy's, accessorized with her grandma's belt, Nine West platform sandal, H&M earrings and GIANT, and i mean GIANT necklace from Forever 21.
Nikki ties in her golds, browns, natural colors and makes ensemble just right. She balances her whole outfit without making her gorgeous necklace too overbearing!
Today, I opted for a more relaxed look with a dolman style off-the-shoulder top with my skinny Khaki's from Zara, and Steve Madden sling backs. I accessorized the hell out of my arm with multiple bangles from H&M, Aldo Accessories and Forever 21 (all mixed up in no particular order) and Forever 21 chain necklace.
I love how Nikki and I, day to day, end up with something matching or what not, without planning it! Today we went with the gold accessories to go with two completely different outfits. I can definitely say "I like [our] outfits" :D

Yay or Nay? -- Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010
What the FUUUUUUUNNNK?! Come on, Louis... your better than this grossness. The brown clog looks like it has two chunks of Joker's hair (you know Batman Joker??!)..
I mean I can see that they were trying to think out of the box, but honestly?????............. no words!
A word to the fashionistas all around the world, just because something has a designer name .. it does NOT, i repeat NOT mean it is indeed flyyyy...
What do you think??? Yay or Nay?
Would you rock any of these beauties??? haha

Make-Up Expiration
When To Let Go...
It's time to admit it, we all have some beauty products that we've just held on for too long! It's just too hard to let go sometimes. But, when health and hygiene is involved, just close your eyes and drop that mascara in the waste-bin!
The following site, realbeauty.com, gives great insight into how long you should keep certain make-up and other beauty products in your collection. Sarah and I found this to be very informative, and it should help to settle that curiosity you've had regarding this topic.
Even if you're afraid to get rid of those more expensive products, we've come to realize that it's better to only spend a bunlde on those products that will not outlast their expiration date! For those products or colors that you tend to use sporadically, and thus have a higher chance of outlasting their time, buy at Target or other similar stores. These stores sell products that are just as worthy as many of the leading make-up companies, and won't break the bank either!

Rainy Mondays
Rainy Day Mondays call for matching looks?
Well, Sarah and I seem to have cued in on matching looks, again! It's funny how we recently find ourselves wearing similar colors or themes in our wardrobes. The cool thing is we don't necessarily mind that we have similar tastes at times, rather, we like to see how we each of us decides to wear the similar items for the day.
Sarah is wearing a white tank from Old Navy with a jersey cotton blazer from Forever 21. She paired this with black leggings from Express and suede flat boots by Steve Madden. She ties the outfit together with her Springy/floral scarf from H&M.
Nikki is wearing a silk button down collared shirt from H&M, black jeans by ANGL Boutique, and flat leather boots by Franco Sarto. Her gray/silvery scarf is from Macy's, teal beanie from Forever21 for a pop of color, and leopard earrings from H&M.
Makeup Monday -- Old Nail Polish
With a shelf life of about one to two year, here are a couple creative ways to use your old nail polish:
- Label maker: If there are multiple people in your home, you can always use polish to color-code and individualize everything, from clothing tags to toothbrushes. And if you're so inclined, use polishes to color-code your bills and files for easier sorting.
- The key to keychain success: If you have keys on your keychain that look identical, differentiate them with a swipe of polish.
- Touch-ups: Cracked vases, chipped pottery, and/or scuff marks on shoes can all benefit from a steady hand and artfully applied polish.
- Give it away: If you've got a teenager in your life, let her go through your stash of polish and pick her favorite shades.
- Get crafty: Bring some life back to old picture frames or add some colorful detail to a tired old lamp. Just use your imagination.
- Coming undone: Buttons that constantly fall off are annoying, but with just a swipe of coordinating polish, you can affix the end of the unraveling thread to the button for good.

Giant Necklaces
Layer over a simple tee to bring on the luxe for day or wear with a maxi and flats for boho party style.
I love how gigantic necklaces just make a statment on top of plain outfits. Its a wow factor depending on the style and fit of the necklace. It is a little more difficult to find a necklace for well endowed women that does not fall inside the cleavage! But ladies if there is a will, there is a way! :)
I am currently obsessing over this Vera Wang Moonstone & Crystal Bib Necklace ($650)
a tiiiiiiiiiny bit out of my price range... but hey, a girl cant drrrrream?!?! hahaha
