Nails Did -- Kelis Inspiration

You know that one color you can wear on your nails over and over again? Well yea, Essie's Punchy Pink is my go-to polish :)
The simple but mod nails design was inspired by Kelis in her new music video, Fourth of July. I had to screen-print it! FABULOUS!
Check out her fierce music video below. Gah, I love her!!! Cant wait for her new CD named "Flesh Tone" out in stores soon!

Nikki's Thursday Look

Nikki is SO ready for a vacayyayayayyy (....and she's counting down the days to Maui without me :( waaahh!) with her bohemian Raj sheer tunic perfectly complimenting it with her H&M linen pants, H&M/Forever21 accessories and Steve Madden wedges. I love her boho-chic ensemble!!! When I saw her outfit, it screamed Nikki's name.
Her awesome paisley tunic can be worn as a cover-up or even as a dress with a simple tank dress underneath it! I'm always down with versatility :D
WORK IT!

Game 7 LAke Show

Go LAkers!
Thursday, Game 7, here we gooooooooo!
We most definitely continued our routine of wearing Lakers colors and memorabilia at work.  Today I wanted to take it back, so I wore my vintage Championship shirt from the 1987-1988 season.  I thought I'd send them some good energy from way back when.  I paired the shirt with my yellow racer back tank from Forever21, floral cotton skirt, elastic waist band from Forever21, as well.  Brown heeled boots by Steve Madden.  Accessories from Forever21 and Hawaiian boutiques.

Wednesday Wear

For Wednesday's outfits, Sarah wore a black blazer with sleeves cuffed, from Urban Outfitters. Her green tank top (which we won't discuss the fact that she wore green during the LAkers finals week, haha), is also from Urban Outfitters.  Her leggings are American Apparel and black sling-back pumps are by Steve Madden.  Accessories from Arden B.
Nikki's white top is from Nordstrom, gray vest with tie in back, is from Fashion Femme boutique in Australia, and the blue and white striped cotton skirt is from a Buy, Sell or Trade store in Orange County.  Gold bib necklace is from Forever21, and bangles from Hawaii, Forever21 and H&M.
Summer is all about wearing your hair in a variety of braided styles.  Here is one I attempted Wednesday morning.
I started off with parting my hair down the right side on the top of the scalp, then french braided the right side and continued to the back of my scalp.  I then took the remaining hair from the left side and bunched it into a bun, took the braided piece from the right side and wrapped the bun with the braided tail piece, and Voila!

Game 6 Wear At Work

Game 6: Done & Done!
On Tuesday, LAkers played the Celtics (boooooooo), in Game 6 of the 2010 NBA Finals.  Sarah and I being life long fans, continue to show our pride and support for our boys!
Yesterday, she and I donned our purple and yellow, while still wearing office appropriate outfits.
Sarah wore her Lakers shirt that rightly compliments the man who should be MVP of the NBA, Mr. Kobe Bryant. She complimented the shirt with a very cute and sleek pencil skirt and slingback pumps.  Sarah purchased the shirt online, a couple years back, from a sports merchandise website.  The skirt is from a Los Angeles boutique and slingbacks are by Steve Madden.
Nikki's wearing a purple pin stripe button up from American Eagle, Yellow racer back tank from Forever21 and black shorts are from a boutique in Australia.  Silver flats are from Nordstrom Rack.
Accessories on both of us are from H&M and Forever21.
On to the next one... now it's time to start getting our mind's right for Thursday's game and of course, our next purple and gold/yellow outfit!  Hopefully the fits will continue to bring the win for Game 7 ;)
Go LAkers!

World Cup Nails

Gooooooaaaaaaal!
I am so ready to "kick off" this 2010 World Cup season!  I have been a soccer fan for all my life and of course I am a huge supporter of Team U.S.A.
To show my support for the following months' games, I had to paint my nails in our country's colors!  What other company should I turn to, than OPI, for my nail polish needs!  They're always presenting a fabulous variety of colors for their customers and it doesn't hurt that the polish shines so vibrantly, either!
The color names that I chose are as follows:
Red - "Quarter of Cent-Cherry"
White - "I Love Mummy", from the Halloween Tatto Ta-Boo Mini Set
Blue - "Dating a Royal"
Silver Glitter - "Silver Belles" from the Holiday Tiny Tinsels Mini Set
As far as doing the nails, I just used the polish brushes, toothpicks and a steady hand
Go USA!

Sizzling Summer

Neon is the perfect way to go for a bright and sizzling summer look! When shopping this summer, you're pretty much guaranteed to find it in various accessories, and most definitely in clothes and shoes--whether bold colors or prints!
So, this summer, cause them to throw their sunglasses on due to your very own stylish glow!

Wednesday Wear

Sarah and I apparently channeled each others' thoughts when deciding on what colors to wear for today's outfits. The fun thing is that we're definitely showing off our own individual styles, comparing my take on black and white vs. her take...
Nikki is wearing a long black skirt from Express, (one of my favorite pieces due to its versatility; most days I actually wear it as a strapless dress), nude tank from Old Navy and white sweater from Forever21. Accessories are from H&M and Forever21. Black wedges are Aerosoles.
Sarah's donning a crisp white button up from Express (see how we switched it up? haha, her top is from Express, whilst my skirt is from Express = just a great store for all your needs!) Her black skirt is from H&M and her black wedges are by Golden Pony. Her bracelets are from Forever21, which are actually necklaces that she decided to convert to bracelets for today.

These are Sarah's newest earrings from a beach boutique in Miami! They are especially perfect for summer! To me they resemble Latin art inspired by the sun! Sarah apparently heard different when she was told they look like onions, lol, (I disagree)! Her response though, "I like onions!" --awesome!

Wicked Deal Weds - Louboutin Bootleg

Louboutins are being imitated left and right but hay, im not hating... especially when the "inspired" pieces look just as good! These awesome Louboutins "BEAUTE SPARKLING PEEP TOES" (pictured above, just in case you didnt know haha) run for about $1,355 and these VERY similar pairs from GoJane are only $30 (they also come in red)! I'd rock these GoJane's with the quicknessss ;)

Chic Nail Print Craze

Looks like Sephora and ASOS has jumped on this growing funky-fabulous-fun-fierce nail trend.. and I love it.

Sephora teamed up with OPI and debuted an innovative way to flaunt the fab prints with pre-cut nail patches that stick on your nails. LOVES! Click HERE for more prints and to getcho's for $15!

ASOS launched glue-on nails by Urban Rebel with flyyyy prints on them. They are obviously temporary and not meant to stay on for a long period of time as you would with acrylic nails. They go for about $9 a set.

Nails Did (By Nikki)

Grrrrrrrrrrrr Baby!
Sarah recently went on a lovely little vacay to the hot spot that is Miami! Of course she couldn't go there without having a fierce manicure!
The better part is that yours truly, Nikki, blogger herself, did Sarah's nails!
We used Essi's Bright Orange color called "Bright Tights", a China Glaze yellow, Zoya's Magenta and black nail polish for the leopard spots. The key was to use a longer and thinner wand for the leopard spot details. If you have more questions or comments for Nikki, let me know! Sarah and I would love some more ideas or designs for me to try out on her nails or our toenails! Like I said, don't hesitate to drop a line!
It was super fun and maybe if you're around LA, I'd love to help you with your nails! :)
